attention to detail - beyond craftmanship

These exquisite sculptural ceramic pots are entirely hand built from the finest English clays - mixed especially for us. The glazes and firing techniques we use ensure that each piece has its own colour fingerprint. It is these intrinsic variations which create such individual patina and character in every piece. Fired to a high stoneware temperature, the pots are extremely robust and weather beautifully. They even improve with the passing of time.

made to order

We make to order, so we are in a perfect position to offer complete bespoke flexibility. Should you wish to personalise a piece, we can impress lettering into the soft clay to incorporate names, dates, quotations or any words you choose. So if you have a particular idea in mind, please speak to us and we'll create something special.

the finishing touch

Philip's initials and a unique 'identification' number are impressed at the base of each piece. This authenticates provenance for the future; his work has proved to be a sound investment. We supply solid plinths cut from handsome Bath stone to which we bolt the pots. These provide additional stability, security and further enhance the stature of each piece. We work with an artisan stonemason to apply beautiful, hand carved lettering to our plinths. This is a perfect way to commemorate a special person, place or event, or simply to have inspirational words of your choice 'set in stone'.
